Via ferrata Schützensteig

The ideal via ferrata for beginners, which is also ideal for families with children, is the perfect place to start your sport in Berchtesgaden. During the ascent & also at the summit, you will be rewarded with an impressive view of Watzmann, down to Berchtesgaden & the beautiful Kingslake.

Varied adventure

The rocks of the "Kleiner Jenner" are always traversed slightly uphill, but in between a flying fox & wooden suspension bridge provide variety. Our mountain guide will show you everything you need to know to be safe on the mountain, from putting on your equipment & how to use it to tips & tricks on the via ferrata. At the end of the exciting tour, you climb directly up to the summit cross.

Procedure:

Departure 8:45 with shuttle & mountain guide to Jennerbahn, walk via ferrata, independent descent with Jennerbahn, shuttle awaits you at the meeting point & takes you back to the campsite

Requirements:

For the Schützensteig you should be fit for approx. 150m, approx. 2:30 hours walking time

Included:

Guided tour with a trained mountain guide via ferrata equipment: climbing harness, helmet via ferrata set transfer from the campsite & back

Exclusive:

Food/ drinks at the hut, tips, gloves (bicycle glove or gardening glove to protect the ski in case o splicing wire rope ends), ride on the Jennerbahn cable car
