Documentation Center Obersalzberg

The exhibition in the Obersalzberg Documentation is based entirely in the theme of "Idyll & Crime". It reopened its doors in September 2023 after lengthy renovation work & invites visitors to get to know the place & its historical past better. During the Nazi era, Adolf Hitler repeatedly came to Berchtesgaden.

The documentation tells of the crimes of the Third Reich, with the conversion of Obersalzberg into a "Führer´s restricted area" playing a central role. In addition to the exhibition, parts of the bunker complex can also be visited.
