Enzian distillery Grassl

Berchtesgaden is famous for its own distillery. The landord Grassl has had the right to regularly dig for gentian roots on the mountain pastures since 1692. The typical Berchtesgaden Schnapps is then produced in the various distillery huts that still exist today.

The Grassl gentian distillery is located not far from the camping resort & has been a popular destination to the visitor & museum area in Unterau, there are also two stores in Markt Berchtesgaden.
